Our Marinated Leg of Lamb is for home cooks who love creating something special but want to skip the complex preparation. Each 2.3kg premium lamb joint is marinated in our signature slow-roast spice blend for 24-48 hours by our chefs.

The Marinade:
Features aromatic cumin, coriander, warming cinnamon, fresh ginger, garlic, and traditional herbs. This extended marination allows flavours to penetrate deep into the meat, tenderises through yoghurt and spices, and creates a beautiful caramelised crust when roasted that locks in juices.

IMPORTANT: This lamb is raw and MUST be cooked thoroughly.

Slow Roast Method (Recommended for Maximum Tenderness):

  1. Remove from fridge 60 minutes before cooking
  2. Preheat oven to 160°C (fan) / 180°C (conventional) / Gas Mark 4
  3. Leave ALL marinade on the meat
  4. Place in deep roasting dish, add 100-150ml water to base
  5. Cover tightly with foil, ensuring no steam escapes
  6. Roast for 3.5-4 hours for fall-off-the-bone tenderness
  7. Remove foil for final 30 minutes to brown exterior
  8. Baste with pan juices 2-3 times during final 30 minutes
  9. Check internal temperature reaches 75°C minimum
  10. Rest covered for 15-20 minutes before carving

Faster Roast Method (Still Delicious):

  1. Remove from fridge 60 minutes before cooking
  2. Preheat oven to 200°C (fan) / 220°C (conventional) / Gas Mark 7
  3. Place in roasting dish with 100ml water
  4. Cover with foil and roast for 2 hours
  5. Remove foil, roast for 30 more minutes to brown
  6. Check internal temperature reaches 75°C minimum
  7. Rest for 15 minutes before carving

BBQ/Smoker Method:

  1. Set up for indirect cooking at 160°C
  2. Place lamb away from direct heat
  3. Cover and cook for 3-4 hours
  4. Baste occasionally with marinade
  5. Check internal temperature reaches 75°C minimum

Checking Doneness:
Use meat thermometer in thickest part (avoid bone). Should read minimum 75°C. Lamb can be slightly pink in centre if preferred, but must reach safe temperature.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Basmati rice or roasted potatoes
  • Seasonal vegetables or fresh salad
  • Warm naan bread and raita
  • Mint sauce or redcurrant jelly

Carving Tips:
Rest for 15-20 minutes after cooking. Carve across the grain for tender slices. Save pan juices to make gravy.

This was my first time dining in a setting like this, and I really enjoyed the homely, warm atmosphere. The restaurant felt inviting from the moment we arrived, and we were shown to our table quickly. Booking in advance is definitely recommended, as the venue is often fully booked and can get quite busy. Despite being a full house — with a lively crowd of mostly male patrons cheering on a football match shown on large screens — the noise level was surprisingly manageable and didn’t detract from the overall dining experience. The food itself was well prepared. While the dishes were a little too spicy for my personal taste, my husband thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine. The meat was succulent and cooked well, and the butter naan was exactly how I like it — soft, fluffy, and fresh. Our waiter recommended the passion fruit gelato for dessert. Unfortunately, this was the only letdown, as it didn’t taste very authentic and left a slightly artificial aftertaste. Aside from that, the rest of the meal was enjoyable. Service was attentive throughout the evening, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking is limited, so it’s worth allowing extra time when arriving. Overall, Regency Club offers a warm atmosphere, generous portions, and flavourful Indian cuisine, making it a great spot for group dining or sports nights — just be prepared for bold spice levels and limited parking.

The food was delicious bar one item we ordered but there was nothing wrong with that item just not to our taste but the other 7 items we ordered were delicious. Love the fact that you can ask for heat level, other similar local takeaways do not do that. My mums health conditions mean she can no longer eat hot spice level food, so offering the option at ordering online allows us to order a mix to suit everyone. The delivery person was friendly and in time as per the estimates given, love the recyclable packaging as well.

The social media hype for this establishment is real. Brilliant and very prompt service - we got served approx ten minutes after ordering despite being busy which is very impressive. Waiters knew their menu and service was very swift. Quite pricey but will definitely be returning.

We recently dined at your restaurant and overall, the atmosphere and food quality were enjoyable. The portions were very reasonable, and the service was good. However, we did notice a few areas that could enhance the dining experience. The food presentation could be improved - it felt a bit informal when dishes were served directly in containers rather than on a serving tray. The meat dishes were flavorful, though it seemed like the meat and sauce were prepared separately and combined at serving. We also felt the dinner plates were a bit too small, and using starter plates for the main course made it tricky to manage the various side dishes and breads. Despite these points, we'd still recommend your restaurant for a family gathering. With a bit of tweaking, it could be a truly great spot!

I have been a regular customer of this establishment since it opened. The food has been excellent and consistent as well as the quality. The staff has always been polite. I have been like a hermit under the oak tree!! Despite of changes in staff the management has always maintained the same attitude and standards since they started back in 1991. Looking forward to visiting very soon.

Service was a little confused by staff, wrong order of dishes turned up to our table. No biggie though it was promptly removed. Ordered a specific drink they didnt have it so they just used another spirt, would have been nice of we were asked if that was OK.

We came for my brothers birthday and Kamal was amazing! He looked after us well and very attentive He was very genuine and caring in his service. It was heart warming to receive such level of customer service after a very long time! I usually dont tip because not a-lot of people deserve it but with him i really wanted to show my appreciation towards his work but he kindly declined the offer which further suggested how genuine he was!
